Victoria! So, Mary sent me a link to your blog. I can’t wait to read it. I’m a wanna-be-crunchy, full-time-working mom of two little ones as well – as I write this my daughter is trying to put a paper plate hat on my head and my son is trying to push the keys on the computer! My husband and I have a homestead here in Ohio, and we are always looking to do more for ourselves and reduce our impact on…well…many things, so I’ll send ideas your way. Most recently I washed my clothes in the bathtub when the washer broke. If I was home I might be crazy enough to do this on an ongoing basis, but for now I’m grateful for my washing machine that is now fixed. Can’t wait to talk more!
Katie
Hi Katie!! I would love to hear more about your homestead sometime. I’m sure you’re doing things I could only dream of here in the city. Do you still have that goat?
No, just a dog and a cat right now. We had laying hens for a while and they were so cute. My husband really wants to get Jacob sheep (his name is Jake if you recall), so I’m sure we’ll be acquiring more animals sooner than later. We just started making maple syrup this year which was A LOT of work, but worth it. Well, I’m late getting ready for work, so I’ll talk to you later.
Hello Victoria! Im a full-time college student and SAHM and I love your blogs. I’m currently writing a paper on ways to save money (making your own house hold cleaners and using aluminum foil instead of fabric softener) and it is required that I have expert testimony in the paper. Is there anyway I could possibly have your last name? I know its a weird question so I understand if your not uncomfortable with answering. My paper just doesn’t look as solid as it could be saying “Victoria from Green Idea Reviews….”. Just email me back and let me know, thank you for your time.
“…wanna-be-crunchy”? What’s that about?
Also, looking for philosophical articles. Have you written any?
Hi John Paul! People who are into the all natural green living movement are sometimes referred to as “crunchy granola” folks. I’m a “wanna-be-crunchy” because there are so many natural and environmentally friendly ideas I want to incorporate into my life, but I don’t have the time, resources, or energy for them all. So I just do what I can, and have fun sharing what I learn via Green Idea Reviews. I don’t have any posts dedicated to my green living “philosophy”: this site is all about Green Idea Reviews, and I find my philosophy on green living is constantly shifting and evolving based on what I’ve learned recently, and also what area of life I’m facing. However, if you read along you should be able to pick up bits and pieces of where I’m coming from. Best to you!
Big hello to you, Victoria, from Vancouver. My wife and I are huge Greenies, striving towards minimal carbon footprint in addition to a healthier working and home environment. I found your site while Googling “laundry using vinegar”. We have bookmarked your site. Keep up the great work!

Hi Daniel! Thanks for reading!
How do I sign up for your letter…Very helpful on the soap washberries. I won’t order them. They sounded good.
